The Rola Method, created by Rola's founder and director, is a progressive teaching method that promotes fluency through repetition. Developed with the needs of our adult students in mind, it was designed to increase retention and confidence.

Our method focuses on 3 parts and is reflected in the structure:

  1. Vocabulary Building/Repetition

  2. Verb Drills/Grammar

  3. General Conversation/Fluency

The intern will study this method (both in theory & in practice) and further develop our teaching manual and program for its application, as well as conduct teacher

training workshops. Deliverables include documentation you write as well as training materials (PPT & other formats), with the option of recordings of teacher workshops you lead.

The intern's job is to assist with the application of technology to all courses. We are a content-focused, conversation-based program. However, due to the dynamic nature of our courses, we sometimes neglect the technology components (i.e. third party apps and software, YouTube videos, audio/visual, etc.). The intern will do an analysis of our live courses and advise the appropriate technology for each course and class; studying our video conferencing software, class group online platform, and incorporation of our YouTube and social media content. In addition to live classes, the education & technology intern will also assist in our (recorded) e-course development in the selection of platforms and content creation for new courses.
